The stretch of coastline from the port of Ancona to Numana is known as the Riviera del Conero, named after the promontory that overlooks the sea, rich in coves and small beaches, rocky or pebbly. Ancona-Portonovo, Sirolo, and Numana are all Blue Flag municipalities.
